The Passion is infectious

If you aren’t a classic car lover when you start at Hagerty, you probably will be soon. So many of us are collector car owners, experts and enthusiasts that our offices tend to feel more like a car club than your insurance provider. We love it that way. We work hard to make life at Hagerty challenging, rewarding and fun for all of us. Only at Hagerty will you find:

The Employee Restoration Project and Employee Driving Experience

Since 2010 Hagerty employees have fully restored four classic vehicles through our Employee Restoration Program. Completed restorations include a 1930 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS, 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Coupe and most recently a 1967 Sunbeam Tiger Mark II. You may ask: Is this for training or for fun? We don’t mind blurring the line. In our Employee Driving Experience program, employees are given behind-the-wheel training to operate a manual transmission in our employee-restored vehicles.

Wellness Program

Our well-being programs focus on physical, mental and financial health. We provide small group trainings and stress management classes. We provide new parent benefits, including Mother’s Rooms.

Summer Friday Snacks

Executive leadership serves up fun snacks and employees have the opportunity to learn about a different collector vehicle each week.

Smart Commute Competition

For car nuts, we’re pretty responsible about how we get to work. Our yearly smart commute competition helps encourage us.

Summer Family Picnic

The 2016 Hagerty CARnival was a Havana Nights theme, focusing on the cars of Cuba! Complete with a live Cuban band, inflatables and activities for the kids, stilt walkers, fire jugglers & all the food from Havana you can handle.

Hagerty University

Because we value continued education, we offer a series of classes and seminars through Hagerty U. With more than 50 classes like Car Basics, Collector and the Car, Leadership Development, Vehicle Valuation, Public Speaking and more, employees get better at what they do, learn new skills and branch out to new areas of the company.

Overdrive

Overdrive is our unique employee rewards and recognition program where managers and peers give shout-outs to recognize each other.

Hagerty CARes

Hagerty believes businesses can be a force for good. For us, that means building strong local economies and supporting the next generation of car guys. We dedicate a portion of our profits to doing just that. Our employees receive 16 hours of paid time to serve their communities each year -- and they use it. In 2015 alone, our employees served more 15,000 hours – generating more than $300,000 in in-kind support for our communities. We’ve been recognized at both the state and national levels for our employee volunteer efforts.
